"Who the heck are you?"
Technically speaking, I'm a "retired" salesman from the manufacturing sector and the photo at the top of the page is a morning view from my office.
In more detail, I've worked as a life guard, a camp counselor, a general laborer, a hardwood veneer sales manager, a clock case designer, a school bus components buyer, a school bus sales manager, a school bus mirror system designer and a hardwood flooring sales manager. In short, a jack of all trades but master of none. On the other hand, my convoluted career path did offer me a colorful and unusual combination of experiences and an oddly rounded skill set.
"Okay, that's who YOU are but what's Sand Lake Enterprises?"
Upon retirement, my wife and I started a face lift of our lake house to make it our permanent home. One day, as I was dropping off a deposit check, the father of the Amish gentlemen working on our home mentioned they were working on a new project and showed me the log cabin in the photo above. He also mentioned they were looking for someone to sell them. Well, already bored after three months of retirement, it sounded like an ideal opportunity to apply some of my sales, marketing and design skills to the ingenuity and craftsmanship of a local Amish family.
So, there you have it, Sand Lake Enterprises is a company that sells Amish, pre built log cabins, pavilions and pergolas.
